My wife & I moved into this 55+ community last August and put up a single bluebird box in our backyard just off the area of an open porch.
This bluebird breeding season has been an eye-opener. A pair of Eastern Bluebirds are currently busy on their 3rd nesting in our box.
1st fledglings (six) departed late May; 2nd set of fledglings (five) early July; and 3rd set of fledglings (six) are well on their way to fledging before Aug will end.
Can't believe on pair will produce seventeen fledglings in one breeding season.
