In the upper branches of an American Holly tree next to our home.
In this image (I'm less than 15' from this male), you can clearly see the spotted outer white tail feathers.

I saw a pair of these beautiful little woodpeckers the other day {6-19-15} in my backyard. My friend saw them the next day in the same spot.
