On my first day in Latin America I came across a group of Mexican farmers from the state of Veracruz, demonstrating over land rights in the centre of Mexico City. They had been camping night and day next to government buildings for a month and told me they would stay put until they got results. The atmosphere was lively and joyful, Mexico style, however these men's determination and frustration was tangible. Their faces and demeanour tell of a life of pride and hardship.
