Horizontally flipped version of today's PAD.

At the suggestion of a fellow PaDer, I have flipped today's PAD image. At first I was "clinging" to the way I originally shot this image,
but this reversed view is growing on me. Thought I'd put it up for compositional comparison.

This one works better for me. I think this stuff is so hard to photograph and get anything worthwhile. You have done a great job.--Rene

The way our eyes work in conjunction with our brain, this version is going to be much more comfortable for most people to look at. I also prefer this version but like you, I am a purist and would prefer to have the image the way I shot it. Of course 2 or 3 months down the road it wouldn't matter to me.

lovely.

Excellent. Love the warm hues and the "softness" of the texture.

Pure art.. you are sooooo good!

Both superb.

Isn't it strange how our brain sees things in left to right order. It is nice with the shaded seed heads to te left.

oooo, what a good idea, this one has a different feel to it for sure, but both are very nice.

Beuatiful autumn shot Mindy. And I agree with the others, the flipped version is easier to view.

I think I like the flipped version. It seems to draw your eye towards the "white" more, yeah just like reading a book. Either way though it is still a good picture. Still haven't had a chance to sit down to do a double picture like this, but if we get it I will let you know. Thanks again.

The left to right is the correct version I have been told. I am left handed & right to left always looks better to me...so which half of my brain isn't working again ??... hey, quit rushing people... be kind !!

Mindy, this is beautiful whichever way it goes..all it means is your facing the wrong way now, hehehe !

Beautiful soft grasses, Mindy. I do like the flipped version.

Well, I learned something new. I think I do like it more this way. I never realized that was how we viewed things. Very interesting. Either way, Mindy, it is a very lovely peaceful image.

Perfect DOF and the tone is just pleasing.

I must give credit where credit is due! Especially as Steve McSweeny has had a similar experience with this Pader's good advice! Ed Goodnight was the person who told me "When you look at a picture you should approach it as you read a book or letter. Your eye wants to come in on the left and exit on the right..." Thanks Ed!

I am impressed how much of difference it makes. Great shot!

That really did make it a much stronger image. This a great one; wonderful tones. I am such a sucker for these sorts of grass shots.

a very restful image - and it does seem to scan better R to L
