Great shots of the bridge Mindy, do you happen to know why they are covered in?
Linda Willets27-Sep-2005 23:23
wonderful bridge
northstar3727-Sep-2005 09:14
It looks gorgeous. I think they are covered to protect the wood. (?)

I see your having a good time in Tom's territory. Those bridges are magnificent things
Sheila27-Sep-2005 06:51
Those covered bridges made for good photographs.
Why were they covered?

Me neither Karen! I kept looking for Clint, but... ! ;-)
Karen Leaf27-Sep-2005 03:53
Love it-they just don't build 'em like this anymore.
I wouldn't mind shooting some with Clint, either :)

Very nice! There are some great bridges in SW Michigan too, one near Centreville is gorgeous. This really says "fall".
Jeffery Stahlman27-Sep-2005 01:38
very nicely captured

I like these. Very well done.
Buz Kiefer26-Sep-2005 23:14
Very nice Mindy. The open sides add to the beauty of the bridge and your photo of it. Well done.

These bridges are beautiful.
Lee Rudd26-Sep-2005 20:35
the beavers built this? oh I must wear my glasses! I like this bridge, great work
Al Chesworth26-Sep-2005 19:00
That's a well constructed bridge, nice picture. Reminds me of a bridge in a Clint Eartwood film some years back.
Tor26-Sep-2005 18:30
What a wonderful place. Great shots too. I also expected Clint Eastwood to appear in one of them!
J. Scott Coile26-Sep-2005 18:19
Not many left arount Tennessee. They always make good subjects! Both images are nice. I really like the visual pull and patterning of the interior image!

Tom, this bridge is about 5 miles from Franklin. It's down under Route 8, near where Sandy Creek flows into the Allegheny River. There is THE biggest beaver dam I have ever seen next to this bridge! Very pretty area to explore!
Guest 26-Sep-2005 16:43
Oh I love them both Mindy!! Did you take them somewhere around the Franklin area?? I don't remember seeing this bridge.
Neal Nye26-Sep-2005 12:45
Beautiful soft light on this old structure. So appealing.
Di26-Sep-2005 12:35
This is fantastic, Mindy! I love them both. Half expected to see Meryl Streep and Clint Eastwood though (you know, Bridges of Madison County). That's just what came to mind ;-)
Joseph Brennskag26-Sep-2005 12:21
Mindy...I really love the second shot below. great perspective. It was so nice to see your smiling face...you've left comments for me before and it is great to put such a lovely face with that.

Both have a nice composition.. and the second one I wish that you also tried taking a shot taken in the middle at a lower angle.. :o)

Whew Mindy, you've really got yourself covered with this last minute PaD post. ;-)

Ahhh, the beautiful covered bridges of Pennsylvania. I notice also a change in the color of the leaves already. I love this photo.
