Went with f/16 hoping to get the edges and interior sharp, but that didn't happen.
Should've re-shot it with a larger aperture for a softer background, but the wind was
coming up and my nose and eyes were arguing for a quick retreat to the house. . . .

Maybe 1/60sec a bit too slow and although the orange is terrific it's maybe also a"difficult"color concerning saturation and/or sensors.

I never knew the edges of poppies could be so scalloped

Delicious looking. Is it just me or does orange seem to lack detail more than other colors? A shot can be as sharp as a tack but may not really show it as much. I guess it's because orange is a soft color in the first place. Right? Or is it just me? LOL
