The quaint village of Nicasio is small (has a population of around 96) and delightful.
It includes historic old St. Mary's Church (established in 1867), a volunteer fire department, Druid's Hall, Rancho Nicasio (bar/restaurant with live music), a post office & small general store.
Just north of town is a historic one-room schoolhouse that opened in 1871.
The man-made Nicasio Reservoir is a favorite place to fish or just enjoy the natural beauty.
