Valley of the Eagles - Haines, Alaska

We hopped on a bus to take the river excursion in the Valley of the Eagles. River Adventures outfitted us well, gave a great tour and then followed with a weenie roast. We were delighted to see a number of Bald Eagles, amazingly close, eagle nests, a Red-necked Grebe, some Trumpeter Swans, and a very quick glimpse of a black bear mother and her cubs.
The fall colors were awesome, and we didn't have any rain! Must keep in mind that all shots on the river were from a moving boat. . .
