What better way to sample Tuscany, the heart of Chianti country, than to visit wineries. We took an excursion each week and experienced unique and unusual wineries. From the founder of Super Tuscans, Sassicaia to the ultra modern Petra, to the small, family maker of Soldera, we had a wonderful experience of the fruits of Tuscany. Each day we had lunch at one of the wineries and tasted the wines at the meal. This was my favorite way to do it because, of course, that is how we drink wine.
