Yarn madness

It was a last-minute idea. I do a bad job of package-wrapping in
the conventional way ... so, why not improvise? Besides, it
makes the suspense build up slowly as the recipient unwinds
and unwinds and unwinds the yarn . . .

Hmm. Next year maybe I should use standard copper electrical wire instead of yarn. :-)

I almost didn't want to unwrap these gifts, they were so beautiful to look at and to hold. But it was definitely more fun to "unwind" a gift than to just "unwrap" it!
