Nils-Erik is Laurie's fourth cousin on her maternal grandmother's side. The familial
links are complicated. Laurie and her relatives now have them figured out . . . well, mostly.
Understanding the family connections is made more difficult by the fact that people in
Sweden often changed their last names. This was certainly the case in Laurie's family.
