Inside Stadshuset

One of the building's many remarkable ceilings.

The ceiling that got away — impossible light! — is the one in the hall where
the city council meets. Its ceiling is patterned after the design of a Viking ship.

BUT! There are some cool panorama shots of the City Hall here: Virtual Sweden
(opens a new browser window) — including one that shows the ceiling-that-got-away.
Search on the page for the words "Stockholm's City Hall". You'll need
Quicktime — and some patience — (slow loading) to view the panoramas.

The shot gave me fits (what else is new?). There's quite a lot of fine detail
to be seen within the small group of figures in the sculpture on the wall.
No way to see the detail at such small viewing sizes!
