This was hand-held at a low shutter speed and wide aperture. (Canon 5D, image-stabilized lens)
It isn't super-sharp but considering the low shutter speed, it isn't bad. What you see
in these examples is a portion of the center of the image.
This conversion was done with Canon's DPP program with its sharpening slider almost at
its maximum setting. DPP is a difficult and somewhat unpleasant program, but it has
excellent sharpening and there's some very fine image detail to be seen in this conversion.
