This may well be my best nature shot to date. Wish it had a little more depth of field, but that would have meant a slower shutter speed, so might not have frozen the action. These lizards are fascinating to watch. It was on one rock and Tim put a live grasshopper on another rock a couple feet away. When the lizard spotted the prey, it would start swishing the long tail, then it would jump down to the ground between the rocks and wait a bit. Then in a flash, it swooped in to get its meal. I would say there was a lot of luck in the timing of this shot.
