Then the dust storm hit and our camp got blasted. We all crowded into Tim's wall tent. We stayed in there until about 8. Wind was still blowing but the dust died down some. The wind blew virtually non-stop all night, so no one got good sleep. I managed to doze off, only to be awakened about 5 AM (4 AM after adjusting for the end of daylight savings) by everyone out packing up all the gear. It had started to rain lightly and we wanted to take no chances of heavy rain getting us stuck on the playa. About 40 minutes later, we had packed up two wall tents and numerous other gear and were headed home.
