Pure Yellow Tiger Lilly Growing Wild - Part II

Mills Valley, Centre County, Pennsylvania

How lucky can you get. Two beautiful, wild growing pure gold tiger lillies growing
wild in the same location ... both deep in the forest of central Pennsylvania.

I'll skip raving about spectacular quality of the shot, since we all know that Michael is shooting expert and he cannot miss... Yet, in gallery preamble we can find the statement with definition of personality, and that's what counts here, personality which motivated this brave photographer to challenge himself with dangerous descend in to dark and haunted woods of Pensylvania forest while risking to lose tons of precious lenses...

I did a seach to look for a name of a flower I just posted and found yours in the list. This is indeed a beautiful lily shot. The exposure is perfect!

I agree with Fong here, Michale. In fact he pretty much read my mind. The petal detail is excellent. Color dead-on.

The good news? This shot has had me out in the garden with this lens this weekend. But unlike you probably I had to haul out the tripod. Seems work has got me a bit frazzled handholding at these focal lengths. Whatever works, eh?

Hopefully the nerves will steady a bit before vacation. Fear not....the tripod has become a steady companion nevertheless.

This is an excellent capture, Michael. I love the details and textures of the petals as well as the buds. The exposure is perfect and even though the lighting is subdued the flowers and buds look so dimensional. And the bokeh with subtle dsplay of leaves is great. Best wishes, Fong
