Presenting the Lady in her Pajamas

National Art Gallery, Washington, D.C.

I have no idea what the title of this work is, or who the painter was, but it is for sure one
of my favorite paintings at the National Gallery. The Lady is being presented and the reaction
from the people in the painting is really quite startling. The lady's attire seems not to match
with crowd's expectation and the whole scene is rather humorous. At least, that is how I see it.

It is a satire on actors, I believe. Perhaps Fragonard or that era?
