I think you're too polite to this Guest... We came to your museum to enjoy art and not arguing about noise or poor restaurant food on premises ! The best thing on this image is the frame and I would like to know how you mastered it ?!
Hi Guest. Thank you for your good comment. Taking photos of good art work at national museums where the use of flash is not allowed can be tricky business when working with underpowered equipment. The Rebel, for the money is an excellent camera, but at 800 iso you have to expect some noise which you picked up. Now if the Museum allowed me to bring in my tripod, I could have set this up at 400 iso at 1/10 or 1/15 of a second and I would have been able, with this lens, to get a photo that would knock your socks off. Now I am addressing this noise problem by purchasing the 20D, with its new more powerful processor should give me noiseless photos at 800 and almos noiseless at 1600. We shall see.
