Backside Condo in the Cold

The thermometer reads 5° Fahrenheit (-15° Celsius) this morning and that was cold enough
to give me an excuse to go out from my front door and snap this photo. Nothing special.
Just curious to see how well my new 5dmk2 would behave in the cold.

Casarms of this kind were once very popular in Soviet Gulag's camps beyond the North Circle. Now what I see here is reincarnation of these building whereas the most freedom impregnated citizens of the world reside ?! Did battery of Mark II died after 5 minutes of being on -15, just curious ?
