This is a statue of President James Garfield - 20th President of the United States at the Garfield Memorial in Cleveland. Garfield was the only President who was also an ordained minister. He was educated in a Free Will Baptist school in Ohio, a school lost by the Free Will Baptists resulting from the merger with the Northern Baptists (now called American Baptists) and subsequent split with the same group. Garfield is also considered one of the three most intellectual Presidents - the other two are Jefferson and Madison. He died at the age of 49 after 200 days in office as the result of a wound from an assasian's bullet.
