Archeology museum: Alexander sarcophagus

We had been impressed with all of the major Turkish museums we had visited on the ancient sites (Bergama (Pergamon), Ephesus, and Aphrodisias). So we were particularly looking forward to the Archeological Museum in Istanbul, and we were not disappointed. This is not the sarcophagus of Alexander the Great, but a king of Sidon, Abdalonymos. Scenes from Alexander's life are portrayed on the sides (originally it was in color).
