Typical Ottoman crypt

When you talk about an area (Anatolia, or Asia Minor)that was first settled in the 18th century BC, the Ottoman Turks are late-comers, arriving in the 12th century -- 3000 years later. But they put their stamp on things immediately. Here, in the monastery's graveyard, they put up an octagonal crypt.

Oops. It is a typical Seljuk "kümbet" comes from an old Hunnic belief, after fully "Muslimanisation" of Turks and high Greek wave of Ottoman, kümbets are dissappeared. It was getting builded for cemeteries.

Today except some "neo" movements, no kümbets are builded. It's this way for 800-900 years.
