Bob Sievers, click to know more

This sculpture is called "DNA", a stylized spiral in Rose European Marble.

Bob Sievers sculpts in marble, alabaster, acrylic, and bronze. His favorite forms are stylized flowers, animals and people, which he usually executes in carved, polished marble. Bob is a professor, pharmaceutical scientist, environmental chemist, inventor and co-founder of 2 companies. He has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Arts and Humanities Assembly of Boulder County. Dr. Sievers was twice elected as a Regent of CU to represent the voters of the Second Congressional District. Oh and I almost forgot, I think he is related to Fred Astaire because he can certainly "cut the rug"! Bob you are a great dancer, thanks and thanks for blessing me with my first chunk of marble......your the best!

Susan Thomas has taken some excellent photos of the 2004 Marble Sculpting Symposium in Marble, Colorado. I carved "DNA", this stylized spiral in rose European marble there. Some of my other marble and acrylic sculptural creations can be viewed at www.BobSievers.com and purchased at Wiford and Vogt Fine Art Gallery in Santa Fe. Go to www.WifordandVogt,com then click on "sculptors", then on "Bob Sievers" to see acrylic sculptures cast from my original carved marble works. You can see them in three dimensions at 403 Canyon Road in Santa Fe, or in the lobby of the new Boulder Community Hospital on Arapahoe Road in Boulder.
