A 19th century house built by early settlers in Toolern Vale, some 35Km west of Melbourne.
When I was a small child I remember an old lady (who lived alone in this house) was often seen herding cattle along the road past this property.
This house became derelict when the old lady passed away. As a young man I used to hunt rabbits on this property and peek into this as an empty shell. Another feature of this property is a well from which water was drawn. Water tanks are a much more common method of collecting and storing rain water.
