Utilizing the required elements of CUBE, CONE, WIRE, and SPHERE, I created this scene. The Cardinal was the first creation done with spheres and cones. The tail feathers are closed cones. The crown and black mask are additions. Leaves are custom shape tools and a lot of playing with gradients, noise, and blur and smudge. At first the cardinal was quite cartoony, but as the other elements emerged I went back and refined the cardinal. Translation - I Virgo'd it. The cats need feeding, dishes need washing and the trash men will be here any minute. Thank goodness I finally got it finished because I enjoyed it so much I could NOT tear myself away from it.
