The sides of the decks were sawn off using the inside of the molded platform side as a guide. This narrows the deck very close to the prototype's 96" width. The deck parts were cleaned up and Evergreen HO scale 1x12 was attached to the sides, aligning the bottom of the deck with the bottom edge of the 1x12. After the Tamiya "green" cement dries the excess material overlapping the top and ends is trimmed away easily.
