This is a replica fashioned after the early style segmented rim construction. The original segmented rims used mahogany, but this is said to be walnut. The light tone and yellow color are uncharacteristic of walnut. The bolt heads appear to be somewhat rounded and highly polished. The rim is not quite shaped correctly.
