This duck of the wooded bottomlands is unquestionably one of the most beautiful ducks in the world. This bird was threatened with extinction at the turn of the 1900's, but has made a spectacular comeback over the years. Unfortunately, none of the photos I have posted do justice to the intricate beauty of the Wood Duck.
