Don Manning and I drove down to TX, and covered about all of the well-known birding areas from Aransas south to Brownsville, and then back up the Rio Grande all the way to Del Rio and Amistad Reservoir. The quality of these images varies greatly, from good to sufficient to ID the bird. I hoped to photograph most of the birds that were new to me, or unusual from a TN standpoint, and by and large I accomplished this. These images aren't meant to be species "portraits" by any means. The majority of these images were "digiscoped". For a few species, more than one images are included, for most though only one. This trip produced 219 species, 62 of which were "lifers" for me. When looking at the images, the 'original' is the best.
