This was my lifer Curve-billed Thrasher, but wasn't the mimid I was after at the time. This bird was photographed in the same yard that the Blue Mockingbird wintered. We saw the Mocker, but it never broke cover long enough for a shot, what a shame too, it was a striking bird. As is often the case, after you get the 1st of a species, they seem to be everywhere after that. This was the case with Curve-billed, which we saw several more of later that day and on into the trip.
