On the way home from my TX trip, I spent some time walking the aristida at Stuttgart Airport, my 1st visit to this great location.

It is so nice to have a place like this that still allows people access. The staff there is very friendly and helpful, and proud to be able to share these special prairie birds with visitors. I never could get the Smith's Longspurs on the ground, but had several ones and twos come up from underfoot, and a Harrier got a nice flock of about 35 up a couple of times. I did get some nice looks at Sprague's Pipits on the ground, with there being at least two present.
