I took a fast trip to the Outer Banks for a pelagic trip with Brian Patterson in August of 2003. The trip was a great success for pelagic species, and I had a good time photographing coastal species that I don't see often. The weather was generally bad while I was there, especially for photography, but it was a great trip in a great area nonetheless. The pelagic trip netted 10 lifers or ABA birds.
