Iceland Gull

Jodfrey (State) Fish Pier; Gloucester, MA

This is another bird that could potentially be glaucoides, nominate Iceland Gull. The very white plumage, unmarked primaries, and distinctly bicolored bill, all match. But, I don't think anyone is sure exactly where this all stands.

Hello Michael.
I would think this is most likely a pale Kumliens rather than nominate Iceland. The plain tertials are more a feature of Kumliens and although the bill is slightly two toned it is not as two toned as many nominate Icelands. But all faetures overlap so its hard to say for sure but if i seen thiss bird in Ireland where Icelands predominate i would be thinking pale Kumliens!
