Greater Flowerpiercer

Sierra de Lema

Another one of the prized tepui endemics, and a very hit or miss bird. Luckily, we hit these in a big way. We had three of these birds working right in front of us, and had Rufous-breasted Saberwing, another endemic, in the same bushes.

It was raining off and on here, so I never even tried to digiscope these birds. I'm sure everyone else got even better shots of these birds. The rufous undertail can barely be made out.
