Townsend's was a lifer for Don, and a little more widespread than I had expected.

We saw our 1st ones, at Sand Dune Park our very 1st day in CA. This photo was taken at Montana de Oro SP, after I had given up on trying to get a shot of the Chestnut-backed Chickadees in the area.
