Five-striped Sparrow

California Gulch; AZ

Definitely the toughest bird of the trip. We got to California Gulch later than we had hoped, as the road was even worse than our expectations. We did get great looks at the bird finally though, although the light was fading fast for a good shot. Everyone got good scope views, including 3 other birders we ran into down there, one of which still needed it.

After getting this bird, we hung around till dark at got Buff-colored Nightjars at the abandoned Oro Blanco mine site.
