An unexpected treat was this Northern Pygmy-Owl. We had been given the general location where the bird had been seen, but a pair of extremely agitated Painted Redstarts (thank you!) actually put us on this bird. Light was fading fast at this point, and there were cameras clicking everywhere. I was pleased to have this semi-poor shot.
