Long-billed Dowitcher

Lake Co. TN

This is one of 2 Long-billed Dowitchers we had today! Not a bird you expect in TN in February, but Long-billed would definitely be more expected than Short-billed. Though a distant pic, the bill on this bird alone should be enough to ID to species, and sex as a female. Though not sharp, the clear cut-off to the breast bib is apparent, and the feathers of the upperparts are contrastingly dark-centered.
