Neotropic Cormorant

Sabal Palms; TX

Sabal Palms is a great place to get detailed studies of Neotrops. This adult is showing the classic dark lores and pointed border to the gular patch of Neotropics, as well as the distinct white border. Also note that the lower border extends out in a point past the eye.

When seen at close range, the emerald green eye of a Cormorant never ceases to put a smile on my face.
