This was one of 11 lifers I picked up on the trip, better than I had hoped for. This is one of two Ani's that were very cooperative, and hanging around the entrance to Santa Ana NWR. I had limited experience with Smooth-billed Ani in FL, and was somewhat surprised by their antics.
