This adult is one of 12 Sanderlings that are still hanging around at the Pits of Ensley. They were scattered around in groups of 3 or 4 when we saw them yesterday.

This is an unprecedented gathering of them at this late a date in TN. Jeff Wilson will no doubt keep a close eye on these birds to see how long they hang around.
