Prothonotary Warbler

Dauphin Island, AL

This photo was taken at the famous Shell Mounds. In this shot, the female Protho is coming off as almost green, amongst all of the flowers. While this would be an unusual look up here in TN, these "swamp" warblers were happily feeding in the grass with Indigo's, or anywhere else that presented itself.
