In this shot the long legs are visible, and the feet would clearly extent past the tail in flight. This is a key ID point, and will let you ID them from silhouette in flight. On the shorter-legged Black-crowned only part of the foot extends past the tail in flight, whereas on Yellow-crowned the entire foot is visible in flight.
