In this shot the rear-end isn't fluffed up, but the bird is still easily ID'd. Notice how the eye sits well up in the dark of the face, on Horned the break from white to dark occurs at the eye. The forehead angle is very steep, going up and peeking over the eye. The bill and neck are both very slender.
