Once again, this image was taken at Kilauea Point, a must visit for any birder on the island. Unlike the White-tailed's, Red-tailed Tropicbirds were only seen along the coast. There were always multiples in the area at Kilauea, but away from this general area I didn't see any other Red-tailed Tropicbirds. Once again I had a hard time getting the exposure right, and although visible, the red-tail is nowhere near as stunning as in person!
