This poor image was the best I could do of this retiring little Asian native. They sometimes choose a prominent perch to utter what I believe is the strangest call I have yet heard from a bird, but my only sightings were of runners. They have a very distinctive call, and although I only saw 5 or 6, they were calling all over the west end of the island, and were more common than I was expecting.
