Gray Hawk was one of the birds I was really hoping to see on the trip, and we weren't disappointed. We encountered them several times at Bensen-Rio Grande Valley State Park, where this adult and juvenile were photographed, and also at Santa Anna NWR and Anzalduas County Park. This photo also doesn't do justice to the beauty of this small buteo.
