We had just watched a White-backed Woodpecker feeding in the leaf-litter when I got this shot.

We picked up several woodland species here at Namhansan including Pygmy Woodpecker, Eurasian Nuthatch and Jay, and Brown Dipper.

The fellow in the center of the group is Nial Moores, our guide, and founder of WidlBirdsKorea. He has amazing skills in this part of the world, and one of those rare people that can literally identify just about every call or chip note he hears, much less something singing.
