This comet is currently moving rapidly through Virgo and into Leo. I had to take a series of short exposures, guided on a nearby star, and then combine them in DeepSkyStacker. As the comet moved from one frame to the next, the stars appear as trails broken up by the different frames.
The sky was rather clearer tonight than last night so the comet's ion tail is more easily visible in the photo, pointing towards the upper left. The more obvious dust tail points towards the lower right.
