One of a pair of identical fountains c.1608 by Pietro Tacca,
who also completed Giambologna's bronze equestrian statue of
Duke Ferdinando I that dominates the entry to the
piazza at Via dei Servi. In the background the elegant
colonnade of the Spedale degli Innocenti.
